You'll have to ask a "Baby-Boomer" about these old desks! This one goes back quite a few years where the desk and chair were mounted on one piece. The desk lifts up with storage underneath (which always got messy with papers, wrappers, broken crayons, etc.) and the chair swivels so you can easily slide in and out. Couldn't lean back in this chair, though. (I did that and got in trouble a lot.) The kids will enjoy this and it's a great piece of nostalgia as well.
